Catey Pioli
Hi, I'm Catey Pioli. I'm studying World Language Education (with a German concentration) at Bowling Green and, if fate is kind, will graduate in less than 10 years. I'm pretty involved at BG in the Arts Village and Taiko Drumming. Taiko is a major part of my life and, if you are ever in BG, you should definitely check out one of our groups. In my free time, I love to be outside- camping, fishing, walking, whatever! I also spend my time taking care of my hermit crabs and enjoying their crustacean shenanigans. My favorite movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, my favorite musician is P!nk and my favorite music is anything with good lyrics. One of my major life goals is to learn a language from every region of the world- at least well enough to get by without resorting to English. At the moment, I'm working on German, Russian and Chinese. If I had to pick a religious label, I would say atheist- but I feel like either a skeptical pantheist or an optimistic atheist. I love to talk philosophy and religion and ideas. I think that you have to talk to other people and work out ideas that are completely different from your own in order to understand yourself, as well as to constantly reevaluate your own thoughts beliefs. A life without experimentation and reflection would be such a waste!

Lisa Chiappone
Lisa Chiappone is from Kirtland, Ohio which is just east of Cleveland. She is 21 years old and has a twin brother. She is a junior and is a Psychology major and German minor. She attends John Carroll University. This is her first time in Europe, and thinks it is awesome to be in Salzburg because that is where her Grandparents are from. She likes swimming, taking walks, and can't wait to explore Europe, make friends, and spend time with her family here.
Audra Bauman
Audra moved to Salzburg after working the past two years in San Francisco, Ca for Ubisoft, Inc, a French video game company. She was raised in North Carolina, is a graduate of Wake Forest University, but has the habit of moving all around the country. She is excited to be back in the Alps and enjoys spending time outdoors. She looks forward to meeting new people from all over the world and trying to soak up as much of Austria as possible!

Rebecca Arjev lived in Cleveland and Tallmadge, OH before pursuing her bachelor's degree in German at the University of Toledo, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2008. She thinks Toledo is a magical place. During her undergraduate career she enjoyed her first experiences abroad with the UT-Darmstadt Exchange Program in the summer of 2005 and a semester with the USAC Lüneburg program in the fall of 2006. She enjoys singing and playing Beatles songs on guitar and piano, cooking, taking walks outside, reading German literature and spending time with her soul mate, Eric. She hopes to one day write a revolutionary German text book using crayola markers.
